Buying My Wife Better Beauty Products

My wife is obsessed with makeup, which is why I usually try to get her something special for her birthday. Unfortunately, last year, my gift really fell flat. I purchased an eyeshadow kit that was chock full of colors, but the actual powders weren't the best quality. It was frustrating for her, and I felt really bad that I hadn't invested more into the gift. However, I did some research to learn more about makeup and brands, and now I can buy cosmetics with the best of them. Check out this blog for great ways to tell good products from the bad.

Six Things You Shouldn't Do If You Want To Achieve Perfect Volume Lashes

Lucia Roman

Using mascara and having volume lashes applied can help you achieve luscious lashes on a daily basis. However, you also need to develop good everyday habits to achieve lashes that look thick and healthy. Unfortunately, some women make mistakes that detract from the thickness of their lashes.

The following are six things you shouldn't do if you want to achieve the best possible appearance with your volume lashes.

Using waterproof mascara all the time

Waterproof mascara is very convenient. However, it can also be difficult to remove. If you're wearing waterproof mascara on a daily basis, it's probably not very good for your lashes. That's because your lashes will probably experience some breakage when you remove waterproof mascara.

Neglecting to consume a healthy diet

Your lashes are affected by your diet. If you are not eating a healthy diet, it can start to show in your lashes over time.

Vitamin E and biotin are two nutrients that are especially important for your lashes. You might want to take vitamin E and/or biotin supplements if you think that your diet doesn't include generous amounts of these nutrients.

Falling asleep before you've removed your eye makeup

At the end of a busy day, it can be easy to drift off to sleep before you've really gotten ready for bed. However, falling asleep with your makeup on is horrible for your lashes. Not only can sleeping with mascara on lead to lash breakage, but it can also cause acne breakouts around the eyes.

Applying mascara before you curl your lashes

Curling lashes is a great way to make lashes look longer with a more pleasing shape. However, it's important that you do things in the right order.

Make sure that you always curl your lashes before you apply mascara. This will make it so that you don't accidentally end up damaging your lashes as part of your makeup application routine.

Rubbing your eyes frequently

When you're feeling tired or your eyes are strained from staring at a screen, it can be tempting to rub the eyes to relieve irritation. However, this is bad news for your lashes. If your eyes feel irritated, it's better to try eye drops for relief and avoid rubbing or touching the area around your eyes.

Leaving fake lashes on for extended periods of time

Volume lashes look great, but it's a good idea to give your natural lashes a break from them now and then. Leaving any type of fake lashes on constantly is likely to result in thinning lashes over time.
